Estonia by a ERASMUS view...

Estonia by a ERASMUS view... Ok... I can say that my real international adventure was in Estonia... It was a strange beginning considering that I leave in Portugal without any experience of travelling... I arrive in Estonia on February 18th 2009 with two of my classmates ready to start my ERASMUS programme for the next 4 months!
Let me introduce my self... I'm a countryside boy living next to the beach habituated with temperatures between 30ºC and 40ºC during the summer and between 12º and 20º at winter time! Arriving in Estonia at winter, seeing snow for the first time! GREAT!

Knowledges in Estonian language = 0%
Adventure = 100%

I could create a blog only for talk about my ERASMUS experience and the people I've met in Estonia and every different places I've been. I'll just do a sum up of the places I went!

Estonia:
Tartu - Special city with a unique spirit... It's the student city in Estonia with people from over the world.
Tallinn - Capital and wonderful medieval city. One of my favorite cities!
Haapsalu - A peaceful small city taken out from a romance book. Ideal to rest.
Viljandi - A green city (at least during the spring) with a modern cultural spirit.
Pärnu - The dream of all Estonians, the beach city in Estonia.
Muhu and Saaremaa islands - Very small islands with lot of old stuff (villages, cities), natural places, animals etc... I've just loved them!

During my stay in Estonia I used the opportunity to travel around the country. So I went to:

Russia (with more 5 Portugueses: Pedro Pina, Joana Justo, Madalena Gonçalves, Henrique Neves and João Justo)
Saint Petersburg: Big and beautiful horizontal city... Visit it please!!!
Moscow: BIG BIG BIG!! A real Russian city! Amazing!

Finland (with more 5 Portugueses: Pedro Pina, Joana Justo, Madalena Gonçalves, Henrique Neves and João Justo)
Helsinki: Very Nordic city with Mc'Donals in every corners (joking).

Latvia (with Matteo Varani (Italian), Iris Charllote (French), Joana Justo (Portuguese), Madalena Gonçalves (Portuguese), Edwin Lim (Dutch))
Riga: Something similar with Tallinn but a bit bigger and more modern.

Lithuania (with Matteo Varani (Italian), Iris Charllote (French) and Joana Justo (Portuguese))
Vilnius: the deserved capital. Very artistic city! <3>
Trakai: Something unbelievable. A group of small islands in a middle of a lake with a castle and swans swimming around of it.
Kaunas: Another Green city. The old capital of Lithuania.

Poland (with Matteo Varani (Italian), Iris Charllote (French) and Joana Justo (Portuguese))
Warsaw: words for what? History and history and history in every corners with a landscape of a modern city.

Sweden (with Joana Justo and Madalena Gonçalves (Portugueses)) Stockholm: The utopia of the society. It's so organized as beautiful. Definitely I wanna come back!

Just to finalize my post I let you a video of all my travels during these 4 months.

The real beginning...

I have been trying to create many blogs about many subjects... but after a few time I got tired of all of them... So I decide to write about one subject that I'll never be tired of... that subject is travelling!

First of all, I would like to sorry about my English. Is not to so easy for me write in English but I want to try because doesn't make sense write my international adventures without use a international language.
I'm sorry, one more time, for all the mistakes that I will write but I'm doing my best!! :)

This blog is for everyone who like travel, and for who want to travel but has fear to do it.
Much money is not essential but the willingness to travel is!

I hope that you enjoy to read my blog as I enjoy to write it...
